Where items go: storage, the market and the exchange
An item bought on the website does not go straight into your character's inventory. Knowing the different storage locations helps you find purchases and avoid using the wrong item for a task.
Four places with different purposes
| Place | Purpose |
|---|---|
| Character items | Equipment and inventory of the character selected on the website. |
| Warehouse | The account's in-game chest, also accessible from the website. |
| Web storage | A separate account storage used by website actions and rewards. Move items from here to use them in game. |
| All-time storage | Marks of items selected for transfer between epochs. It does not replace the other storage locations. |
Disconnect the account from the game before moving, buying, selling or submitting items through the website. Select the intended character, open the item's card and choose an available destination. A character's inventory and the warehouse need enough contiguous space for the item's size.
Where is my purchase?
A market purchase is delivered to the warehouse first. If it has no room, the website uses web storage. Check both places, then move the item to the intended character. Quest rewards can also arrive in web storage.
After a Grand Reset, equipment is taken off into inventory, the warehouse or web storage. Check these locations before reporting it missing.
Buying and selling an item
- Open the item market. Filter by category, item, minimum upgrade level, Luck, Excellent options or Ancient status.
- Open the item details and check the exact options and price. A filter such as +9 means +9 or higher, not exactly +9.
- For a reset task, compare the purchase with the requirement on Reset. The task's market link narrows the item type but does not replace checking its attributes.
- To sell, select your item in inventory, the warehouse or web storage and use its sale form. Current item listings use Zen. Check the quantity if you have several matching copies.
- Check the price multiplier and any listing fee before submitting. The fee is charged when listing, not only after a sale; keep enough Zen for it.
Use the market's own listing actions to take an unsold item back. After taking it back, check the warehouse and web storage as you would for a purchase.
Zen units and account balances
| Common notation | Actual Zen |
|---|---|
| 1k | 1,000 |
| 1kk | 1,000,000 |
| 1kkk | 1,000,000,000 |
If the form uses a million-Zen multiplier, entering 50 means 50,000,000 Zen. Read the multiplier instead of entering the full amount twice.
Zen management shows balances for the website, warehouse and characters, plus transaction history. Website services use the account total, so the amount on one character is not necessarily your complete balance. Disconnect from the game before transferring Zen between locations.
Exchanging Zen and wCoins
The currency exchange has separate offers for selling wCoins and selling Zen. Read “you get” and “you pay” on each offer before buying it. The exchange rate is useful for comparing offers, but check the total amounts and units too.
When creating an offer, you specify both what you give and what you want. The offered currency is reserved for the listing. Check any displayed fee and use your own offer's cancellation/take action to withdraw it; publishing an offer is not an immediate purchase from another player.
All-time storage is an item mark
Adding an item to all-time storage does not remove the original from your equipment, inventory or ordinary storage. It records a selection for a future epoch, within your available slots. You can continue using the item.
The selection requires a matching item to remain on your account. Selling, consuming or removing that item can invalidate the mark. Items listed on the market are outside the locations checked for retention: do not leave an item for a future epoch on sale.
To prepare:
- Open all-time storage and check the total and free slot counts.
- Select the intended item in its ordinary location and add the all-time mark.
- Open all-time storage again and verify the selection.
- Before a wipe, review the marked items and the current epoch announcement.
Removing an entry from all-time storage removes the mark, not the original item from your inventory. A mark is not protection against accidentally submitting an item to a reset or quest.
